When Letting Go Doesn’t Make Sense (and That’s Exactly Why You Should)
She was gripping life with both hands.
A job that drained her. A plan that never really fit. A version of success that wasn’t hers—but looked good on paper. Every session, I’d offer a small opening, a new possibility. And every time, she’d return with a list of reasons it wouldn’t work.
Her body started to speak louder. Chronic knee pain. No real diagnosis. Just a dull ache that wouldn’t go away.
Until one day, she asked me:
“What do you think about this 5-day somatic workshop? It’s about pain as a message... not a problem to fix.”
And I said: Yes. Go.
Because here’s the thing:
The best decisions we make—the ones that change everything—rarely make sense at the start. They don’t come with guarantees. They don’t check the boxes.
They come from somewhere quieter. Deeper.
That whisper of truth that doesn’t shout... but won’t leave you alone.
She jumped.
And something met her.
She came back radiant. Connected. Awake. A few weeks later, she was accepted into an internship with the very program that changed her. The same one she never would’ve considered before. The same path she’d once said wasn’t “realistic.”
It wasn’t the plan.
It was something better.
This is what I want for you.
To let go of the plan that’s slowly killing your spirit and say yes to the thing that lights you up—even if it terrifies you.
Let your life surprise you.
Not everything that heals you will make sense.
But when you take the leap, something always rises to meet you.
